All things tea!

Iced Tea And The Benefits

Eighty percent of the tea drunk in the United States is iced. While many Iced teas get their flavor from tea leaves, herbal-infusions also produce an excellent Iced tea. To make Iced tea, strain brewed tea over ice while pouring into a cup or pitcher. If you don’t have a strainer, double the amount of tea you would use per person. Brew tea for the same amount of time, pour into your cup or pitcher, and add ice. We have specifically selected teas that taste naturally delicious on their own, but feel free to experiment by adding fruit, lemon, honey, or sweetener to your iced tea.

NOTE:
We do not recommend brewing tea via the Sun Tea Method. According to the Center for Disease Control, the sun’s rays can actually facilitate the growth of harmful bacteria. The water does not get hot enough to kill bacteria that’s either in the water or on the tea itself and may make you ill.
