Healthy Pizza & Tea Pairing

Firstly, what is a healthy Pizza?

Well, sadly you need to lose the copious amounts of creamy cheese, the white crust, greasy toppings, and creamy sauces. I know it sounds like we’ve stripped away all the joys of Pizza, but hopefully I can convince you otherwise. Replace all those mentioned ingredients above with tasty vegetables, healthier cheeses (like feta), a whole wheat crust, and make your own rustic sauce. Trust me; it’s delicious and guilt-free! To make this project even more fun, we paired our healthy pizza with three of our teas: Deluxe Iced Tea, Decaf Organic Green Tea, and Black Silk (Chinese Black Snail tea). Ingredients: 1 whole wheat crust, 1 chopped red onion, 1 large tomato, 100% pure tomato sauce (small can), 2 cloves of garlic; 1 minced, 1 chopped, ½ carton of mushrooms, 1 green and 1 yellow pepper, fresh spinach, crumbled feta cheese (8oz), a sprinkling of grated parmesan cheese, oregano herbs, paprika spices, salt and pepper .

Instructions: Prepare the base sauce. In a blender, add half the onion, 1 clove of minced garlic, whole can of tomato sauce, ½ teaspoon pepper, and a pinch of salt,  a splash of water, a pinch of paprika, and lastly, a tablespoon of fresh oregano, otherwise a pinch of condensed oregano. Once blended, add the base sauce to the crust. Now you are ready to add all the toppings in this order; fresh spinach, remaining onion, chopped garlic clove, peppers, mushrooms, feta cheese, and then a sprinkle of grated parmesan. Now bake the pizza in the oven on 375f for 8-10 minutes, or until crust has browned. Cut and enjoy!
