Element Tea

All things tea!

Love a martini, but don’t like all the calories?  Well, we’ve got the solution.  How about a cocktail that not only tastes great, but is loaded with health benefits??  We’ve got a recipe that uses Green tea and pomegranate juice, thus packing the drink with all sorts of healthy qualities.

Green tea has long been praised for its many amazing health benefits. Of all tea types, Green tea contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols, which play an important role in the prevention of many cancers, including lung, breast, stomach, prostate, colon, and skin cancers. Research shows that Green tea lowers total cholesterol and raises HDL (“good”) cholesterol. It also helps encourage weight loss, boosts metabolism, controls blood sugar, boosts the immune system, protects against cavities and gingivitis, and eases the symptoms of arthritis.

Pomegranate juice also is loaded with health benefits.  Studies show that pomegranate juice can help prevent lung cancer, keep PSA levels stable, protect against Osteoarthritis and Alzheimer’s Disease, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and help prevents against plaque build up on your teeth.

Really, there’s no reason not to sip on this MarTEAni!

Here’s what you need…

Fill a martini shaker with ice cubes.

Add all ingredients.

Shake well and strain.

Garnish with lime twist.

Now, how can you not love pomegranate martini? 🙂 Well, I certainly do for sure. It has become my favorite cocktail drink since I first had it in one of our Hawaii trip years ago. It’s simply perfect for me and who would have said no to all these healthy benefits from pom juice anyway, 😉
